Through a complete reconstruction, the once outdated and worn-out living space was transformed into a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing home. Careful coordination of all types of construction and finishing work was a key factor in the success of this transformation.
The first step in the renovation process was the demolition of all existing walls, as well as the removal of flooring and installations, which allowed for better space utilization and the creation of new spatial zones. The area was cleaned and prepared for new technical and functional requirements, enabling the reorganization of the layout and the creation of a contemporary room arrangement.
The newly designed floor plan includes an entrance area leading into a spacious open-concept living room, combined with a dining area and an open kitchen featuring a breakfast bar. From the entrance hallway, one can access the bathroom and two bedrooms, both with double beds. The larger bedroom also includes a niche with an auxiliary bed.
New partition walls were built according to modern standards for sound and thermal insulation. Walls and ceilings were skim coated and painted, resulting in a smooth, clean finish in neutral tones, aligned with the modern minimalist interior style.
New interior doors of minimalist design were installed, perfectly blending with the aesthetic of the space. The selected doors offer soft-close functionality and are easy to maintain.
Internal thermal insulation was added to the external walls using XPS panels, significantly improving the apartment’s energy efficiency, especially during the winter months. This new layer helps prevent heat loss and condensation.
New plumbing and drainage systems were installed, with a focus on durability and correct joint execution, ensuring the reliable operation of the kitchen, bathroom, and sanitary systems. New electrical installations were also carried out, including outlets, switches, lighting, and a new distribution panel. This provided the apartment with a dependable electrical network that meets modern energy demands and allows for flexible planning of ceiling, wall, and built-in lighting, as well as appliances.
To ensure the floors were level and ready for final finishes, a new cement screed base was laid using leveling compound. This created a long-lasting and stable foundation for the installation of ceramic tiles and parquet flooring.
In the living room, hallway, and bedrooms, large-format parquet flooring in a soft wood tone was installed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. In the kitchen, large-format ceramic tiles were used, the floor features a white stone pattern that complements the parquet, while the wall tiles contrast with a more pronounced marble texture. In the bathroom, both the floor and walls are finished with ceramic tiles and mitred (gerung) edges for precise, elegant corners, contributing to a sophisticated appearance. The tiles feature a light, warm stone pattern with a subtle glossy finish, resulting in a uniform and calming look.
This project is a clear example of how a quality and comprehensive renovation can completely transform the character of a living space. With carefully planned and expertly executed work, from fundamental installations to final aesthetics the apartment has gained a new identity, enhanced functionality, and energy efficiency, becoming an ideal place to live.
